Exploring Sustainability Through Culture: Highlights from Our November Workshop at Scuderia Future Food Living Lab
In November, the Scuderia Future Food Living Lab came alive with ideas, collaboration, and creativity during our sustainability-themed workshop, part of the Response-Ability: Responsive Youth for Climate Action (RYCA) project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union 🇪🇺.
The evening brought together young people, activists, and curious minds to explore what it means to design sustainable meals—not just for ourselves, but for our communities and our planet. Through this hands-on workshop, participants were challenged to think globally and act locally: drawing inspiration from food traditions around the world while considering the environmental and social impact of ingredients and choices.
🌍 From Local Traditions to Global Impact
In small groups, we imagined sustainable menus that respected both cultural heritage and planetary boundaries. The activity encouraged thoughtful dialogue about access to resources, food waste, biodiversity, and climate-conscious cooking. What does sustainability look like in different parts of the world? How can we bring those practices into our kitchens and communities?
It wasn’t just about theory. The event sparked tangible ideas and real-world solutions, many of which will feed into future RYCA activities.
👏 A Collective Effort
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed their energy and creativity. A special thank you goes to our amazing RYCA team: @veronica.spena, @_ruslans, and @dimarzo_salvatore, whose passion and commitment brought the workshop to life.
💡 What’s Next?
If you missed this event, don’t worry—this is just the beginning. The RYCA project continues to create spaces for young people to engage with climate action in meaningful and creative ways. Stay tuned for upcoming workshops, talks, and activities. Together, we’re shaping a more sustainable and resilient future.
